How are visits arranged?
|
Contact your Court Welfare Officer, Social Worker or Solicitor
for advice. As the Centre is independent of the Courts, we also
accept self-referrals.
Referrals are made to the Contact Centre Co-ordinator at Church End

Are there any rules?
|
For everyone’s benefit there are a few.
|
- No child will be left without a parent in attendance.
- Parents are responsible for the safety and supervision of
their children while at the Centre.
- Parents are responsible for keeping to any conditions agreed
between themselves or specified in Court Orders.
- No child can be removed from Church End without the written
consent of both parents – with this consent the Centre can be a
hand-over point.
- Visiting relatives or friends can only come along with the
consent of both parents and the staff at the Centre.
- Pets cannot be brought.
- Abusive or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated and
you will be asked to leave.
- Alcohol, drugs or anyone under their influence cannot be
allowed in the premises.
- Smoking is not permitted in Church End.
- Permission of Centre staff must be obtained before taking
photos.
- Mobile phones must be switched off during contact.

|
Any other important information?
|
- The staff do not provide written or verbal reports for
people such as solicitors or courts.
|
- Staff stay in the room at all times during the visit. This
is for the benefit of both the child and the parents.
|
- Church End is a house, not a hall. It is therefore a
pleasant, comfortable place for parents and children to meet.
|
- We try to make the visit a happy time and ask both parents
to do their best to make it enjoyable for their child(ren).
